Roman Catholic Lawns 2, 3 work

There will be replacement of beams within Roman Catholic Lawns 2, 3. The work will be ongoing until completion (weather permitting etc.). If you have any questions please contact 02 9545 4677.

    Pathway construction

Development of a new visitor pathway is underway between Macedonian Lawn and Macedonian 2. Upon completion, work will begin at Jasmine Way. Please be mindful when visiting the area.

Maintenance of our lawns during high temperatures and wet weather

Recent heavy rain, coupled with high temperatures, creates perfect growing conditions and challenges for our grounds crew. We are working hard to manage the current rapid growth of lawns and weeds across our cemetery as proactively as possible.

  • Drone use in the cemetery

The following activities are prohibited (As per section 9.5(2) of the 2016) unless the prior written approval of the Administrator is obtained: Operating any photographic or video device for commercial purposes and flying of drones or similar. Any person who carries out these activities is committing an offence and will be penalised.

    Construction of Full Monumental Area

We are pleased to announce that construction works will commence early May to create a new full monumental burial area in the grassed area between Anglican 7 and the Café/Function Centre. We anticipate the project's completion in October, with safety measures in place to minimise any impact on visitors and the public.
    Find out more here.

  • Conflict in the Middle East

Due to the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas and the resulting impact on our community, we have developed an incident response plan to mitigate any threats that may arise across our memorial parks.

While we do not anticipate any immediate threats, we understand the ongoing conflict is upsetting for all parties involved, and our utmost priority is to ensure the safety of our stakeholders, visitors and employees.

We have been informed that the NSW Police Force have established a centralised command centre to assess potential threats and engage with relevant stakeholders.  While the police do not possess any intelligence indicating likely threats, it is evident they are taking proactive measures to consider potential scenarios.

During this time, we ask that our stakeholders remain vigilant regarding any threat that is identified within our memorial parks.  There is significant representation of both Jewish and Muslim community at some of our memorial parks.

If you identify any threats while visiting one of our parks, please report this to a member of staff who will escalate to management.

Planning a funeral

Funerals are a time to gather, remember and celebrate a person’s life and loves, an important part of the grieving process. These special ceremonies can be elaborate, simple and as personalised as you choose.

How to plan a funeral

Not sure where to start? To make it easy, here are three steps to follow to help you plan the funeral and create a fitting tribute.

Memorialisation

Today, many people choose to scatter the ashes of their loved one in a place that may have had great meaning for them. For others, somewhere beautiful that touches the heart is part of the ritual of saying goodbye.

Coping with loss

Everyone grieves in different ways and at different times. It’s important to talk with your family and a grief counsellor can also help you through a difficult and traumatic time. Visit our ‘Coping with loss’ page for more information and links to support and mental health groups.
